As an intern at Public Forum Institute (PFI) you will be working primarily on Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). The Week will bring together millions of young people across the globe through online and local activities and encourage them to think innovatively and unleash their ideas. Through a coordinated effort with many different countries, during one week every year, the world will celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit in hopes of inspiring a new generation of young entrepreneurs. While the week will constitute your primary focus while with PFI you will also be assisting with additional duties.

An important part of your work for GEW will be partner outreach. You will employ a variety of methods to both stay in close contact with existing partners as well as reaching out to potential partners in private industry, academia and government. To achieve these goals you will be contacting partners and keeping all parties informed through monitoring of current developments such as new media attention and ongoing activities of interest. You will also be expected to create written material for GEW blogs, formal reports and press material.

Outside of GEW the main focus of PFI is the development of nationwide policy summits. In preparation of our policy summits interns will prepare materials for participant’s use and maintain contact with all those partaking in the summit. Interns will also write summary reports covering discussion taking place during summits for dissemination to all those participating in the summit.
