that's about the time i started writing because i wanted to to. Pretty much all of my older stuff really sucks. I edit some of them if I think they still have "potential" of being better. My writing has seriously improved though. That whole "practice makes perfect" thing seems pretty true to me. I think the things I've written that have been more emotional and were written to get my feelings out are always somewhat better than anything else. Mainly now I write things about feelings/experiences, and then some"imaginary"...like storytelling (it can be vague sometimes). I think I'm better at writing "sad" lyrics and tragic/emotional lyrics than happy ones. I've only written a few happy songs/lyrics. I can write happy stories though. I prefer to write things that are meaningful and moving, also.

Trust me, don't try to "get" the male of the species. The better thing is to ACCEPT them as they are. They usually aren't fully cooked until they are about 30, so you have time! :)

welll how long have you been writing?...like writing as when you wrote because you wanted to and weren't forced to at school or something?
